Los Angeles prosecutors announced charges against 32-year-old Nick Reiner for the deaths of his parents, Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Singer Reiner. Prosecutors will file two counts of first-degree murder with a special circumstance of multiple murders and an allegation that a knife was used. The couple was found dead from apparent stab wounds in their Brentwood home. Nick Reiner was arrested without resistance near the University of Southern California, about 14 miles from the scene. His initial court appearance was delayed for medical reasons. Authorities expressed commitment to justice and support for the family and city.
