Reporter Journal: A sunrise trek through wild solitude in New York City
Briefly

As I climbed out of the subway station at 125th street, the city was still asleep, with only one solitary guy setting up a fruit stand on the sidewalk.
The darkness made Morningside Park feel magical, with winding trails surrounded by tall trees and the sounds of birds flitting through the branches.
While I love the hectic pace of New York City, this solitary walk under the glowing moon allowed me to enjoy a beautiful, personal moment in nature.
The Ramble, a designed wilderness in Central Park, offers a unique escape resembling the Catskills, where I reached just in time to see the stunning sunrise.
