He was sentenced to three years in prison and three years of probation for an incident in 2004."
George Tyson, 75, of Westerleigh, Staten Island, was investigated by the FBI New York Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force for alleged possession of child pornography. Investigators say Tyson possessed at least one video in June showing children under 16 engaged in sexual conduct, with some appearing as young as four. Tyson allegedly admitted to an FBI agent that he downloaded and viewed child pornography, deleted files after viewing, and intermittently stopped downloading. Tyson was arrested in September and charged with felony counts involving sexual performances by a child. He pleaded not guilty and was released on non-monetary conditions, with a return date in Criminal Court on Nov. 19. Tyson remains listed on the state sex offender registry for a 2006 conviction after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography and receiving a three-year prison term plus three years of probation for a 2004 incident.
