The president of the South Florida Police Benevolent Association stated that Tyreek Hill was not arrested but momentarily handcuffed for officer safety during a traffic stop.
During the incident, officers placed Mr. Hill in handcuffs as he was uncooperative at the scene, which led to concerns for their immediate safety.
Despite being detained for a short time, Hill was later issued two traffic citations and was allowed to leave the scene a few minutes after the stop.
Body-camera footage revealed the dynamics of the traffic stop, with Mr. Hill being told to exit the vehicle shortly after officers approached his car.
