A Pennsylvania woman, Kelly Brown, has been charged with manslaughter for her daughter Fiona's death in Maine, where the 3-year-old died from hyperthermia after being locked in a car for over 14 hours. Brown reported hallucinations and disturbing behavior prior to Fiona's death. On the day of the incident, Brown had been camping near the Penobscot River and left Fiona and their dog in the vehicle. Police found them deceased in a parked car Saturday evening. Brown's family expressed concern over her altered mental state leading up to the tragedy.
"Kelly Brown reported to her mother that she had been hallucinating, was hearing voices of shamans, and seeing people that weren't there. The voices she was hearing were telling her what to do."
"Brown's mother stated that Brown had been posting disturbing videos to her Facebook account since July 25, and her behavior had significantly changed."
