Person of interest in Nancy Guthrie abduction released, maintains innocence
"I felt like I was being kidnapped, bro, he said. They didn't tell me anything."
"All I know is they showed my in-law a picture of somebody wearing a mask or something and it supposedly looked like my eyes, Palazuelos said."
Nancy Guthrie disappeared in Arizona ten days ago. Deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department detained a subject during a traffic stop south of Tucson but provided limited details. Federal investigators assisted local authorities in searching a property in Rio Rico, Arizona. Carlos Palazuelos said he was the person questioned, maintained his innocence, and described the experience as terrifying, saying he felt like he was being kidnapped. Palazuelos said he was working as a delivery driver when pulled over and believes his resemblance to FBI-released images prompted questioning. Law enforcement has not confirmed the release or the identity of the person questioned. Authorities believe Guthrie's daughter, Annie, was the last person to see her and said they went out to dinner.
