"RICHMOND A person was shot to death Monday morning in the Iron Triangle area, authorities said. Their name has not yet been released. On Monday at about 5:55 a.m., police dispatchers received a gunshot detection system alert in the 1400 block of Bissell Avenue, near Marina Way. Multiple callers reported hearing shots fired in the same area, police said. Officers were immediately dispatched and located an adult victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound."
"Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police have not yet said if the person was shot by someone in a passing vehicle or by someone who confronted them on the street. A possible motive has not been released. No arrests have been announced and no suspect information has been released. The killing is the fourth homicide investigated by Richmond police this year.
