Bachelder Street intersects with Wilder about a block away from its intersection with Broadway."
"Lowell police and Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section are investigating the incident, police said. In a statement, UMass Lowell called the the incident "tragic." The pedestrian's condition or potential affiliation with the university is unknown. "The university will be making counseling resources available on Friday to members of the UMass Lowell community who witnessed the incident and are in need of support," the statement said. No other information was released Thursday evening."
