Marc Franke, known as The Dusseldorf Patient, underwent a drastic immune system reset with stem cell transplant from an HIV-resistant donor, facing severe side effects, liver inflammation, and bone density loss.
After enduring four years of immunosuppressant drugs and treatments, Franke was able to stop antiretroviral medication completely, with no trace of HIV reservoirs in his body.
