"The car, a gray Honda, and a gun left in it were reported stolen Sunday in Oakland. Antioch officers ended their pursuit before the Honda entered Oakley, but an Oakley officer then chased the car down Main Street and past nearly half a dozen major intersections."
"A sergeant called off the chase after the boy turned right onto southbound O'Hara Avenue, police said. Seconds later, the boy collided with another motorist at Laurel Road. The motorist, identified as a 50-year-old Oakley man, suffered fatal injuries."
