A 30-year-old East Palo Alto man allegedly met a woman on Facebook Dating on June 7 at the Coliseum BART station and transported her to a hotel in Alameda. The woman alleges multiple sexual assaults and severe beatings that left the hotel room bloody. The man allegedly took her cellphone, threatened her—saying, "don't make me kill you"—and gave her cocaine before forcing her to solicit clients on International Boulevard while he watched. She testified that she had never engaged in sex work before and that he was the sole source of harm. Oakland police later encountered them at the Lake Merritt BART station, where she displayed severe facial injuries including bruised, swollen eyes, a missing tooth, and broken facial bones.
