The 41-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping, child abuse, and animal cruelty, court records show. He is set to be arraigned on Oct. 2 and is being held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin without bail in the meantime."
An Oakland man, 41, faces charges of kidnapping, child abuse, and animal cruelty after an Aug. 19 incident. Witnesses saw him drag a woman from a 71st Avenue apartment toward a nearby BART station. He allegedly slammed the woman into a wall, struck her 17-year-old son, and killed the small dog by throwing it into the ground. Police located the deceased dog and documented victims' injuries. After his arrest, officers say the woman found the refrigerator, oven, microwave, television, and vacuum cords cut and the television stabbed. He is held at Santa Rita Jail without bail, is set for arraignment Oct. 2, and faces a parole violation from a prior robbery case.
