Multiple US embassies are telling Americans they cannot evacuate or help them get out of the Middle East

"The U.S. Embassy is not in a position at this time to evacuate or directly assist Americans in departing Israel. If you choose to avail yourself of this option to depart, the US government cannot guarantee your safety."

"In Qatar, where Iranian retaliatory strikes have hit key energy facilities, the country's US embassy issued a travel advisory on Tuesday, also warning American citizens they were unable to help them evacuate, saying that they should take advantage of commercial transportation options."

Following US and Israeli military strikes on Iran on Saturday, the US State Department has advised Americans to evacuate from numerous Middle Eastern countries including Israel, Qatar, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen. However, US embassies in Jerusalem and Qatar have announced they cannot provide evacuation assistance to citizens. The Jerusalem embassy directed Americans to Israeli-operated shuttles to Egypt as an alternative, while explicitly stating the US government cannot guarantee safety. The Qatar embassy similarly advised citizens to use commercial transportation options and develop contingency plans independent of government support. This situation leaves American citizens navigating escalating regional conflict without official evacuation assistance.
