Hannah Kobayashi, a 30-year-old woman missing in Los Angeles, was located safe after her disappearance sparked national interest, according to her family's lawyer.
Kobayashi, who had been in California for a connecting flight, was seen on surveillance tapes retrieving luggage and purchasing a bus ticket to the U.S.-Mexico border.
The LAPD confirmed she crossed into Mexico after sending her family unusual messages that raised concern. Her father's tragic death followed 13 days of searching for her.
Although her family's legal representative announced her safe return, there were no details about Kobayashi's time away or the circumstances under which she was found.
