
"LOS ANGELES (KGO) -- A U.S. Marine died during a training exercise Wednesday at Camp Pendleton in Southern California, military officials said. The Marine died of injuries sustained in a "tactical vehicle mishap" in the afternoon, the I Marine Expeditionary Force said in a statement. He's been identified Private First Class Tanner F. Rubio, 21, a native of Dixon, California. He joined the Marine Corps in January 2025. Rubio was trained as an infantry rifleman and was assigned to 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment."
