A Lynn police officer was placed on administrative leave amid an investigation after a video appears to show him incapacitated during a traffic stop. The department said the unnamed officer became "suddenly incapacitated" while on a call and that the event appeared to be a medical episode. Investigators are examining all potential contributing factors, reviewing body-worn camera footage and consulting medical professionals. The circulating video shows the officer unresponsive to questions, blinking slowly, stumbling and struggling to stand while being led away. Two other officers speak to the person recording, with one noting the officer had come off a double shift and had a bad back.
