Evidence at trial established that between October 2021 and November 2022 a child then aged 8 to 9 lived with her mother and father on an alternating weekly schedule. During the weeks with her father he repeatedly sexually abused the child and threatened to beat her if she disclosed the abuse. The child's mother noticed extreme anxiety before visits in early fall 2022 and the child disclosed the abuse in November 2022. The father was arrested on November 8, 2022, convicted by a jury of first-degree course of sexual conduct, first-degree incest, and endangering the welfare of a child, and will be sentenced on November 26, facing up to 25 years in prison. He is represented by George Duncan and the matter was heard before Supreme Court Justice Timothy Mazzei.
