Laketran Expands Its Dial-a-Ride Service To 7 Days A Week - Busline News
"Laketran (Lake County, OH) has announced that its paratransit Dial-a-Ride service will expand to seven days a week beginning Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025. The new Sunday service will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., helping customers, particularly seniors and people with disabilities, get to shopping, religious services, and other social activities."
"The decision to expand service was strongly supported by customer feedback. In a recent customer survey, 70 percent reported that their lives are restricted on Sundays due to a lack of transportation. Sixty percent of customers indicated that they have no means of transportation on Sundays, while others said they must rely on friends or family. Respondents were most excited about using Sunday service to attend religious services, visit family and friends, shop, and travel to work."
""The majority of Laketran riders are going to work," Capelle continued. "We believe these new hours will help more people have reliable transportation to work weekend shifts or pick up overtime.""
