Ruby Whitehorn was arrested Aug. 8 after police responded to a call around 4:15 p.m. and alleges she got into an altercation outside a woman's residence and kicked in a front door and bedroom door. Whitehorn told officers she was retrieving property after the woman took her phone and passport and locked the door. Attorney Gregory P. Isaacs said Whitehorn will plead not guilty at a Sept. 5 preliminary hearing and that eyewitness accounts contradict the warrants. The University suspended Whitehorn indefinitely; she is not participating in team activities. Whitehorn averaged 11.6 points and four rebounds last season.
