During the heist, they impersonated police officers and used crude methods, leaving behind DNA evidence that led to their arrest within months. Some gang members, like Yunice Abbas, have publicly spoken about the theft, citing the allure of Kardashian's expensive jewelry as a motivation.
"It might sound funny, but this was armed robbery, violence, and bondage. It's serious regardless of the age of the accused," said the lawyer for the doorman.
Yunice Abbas, one of the robbers, reflecting on the heist, stated, "I told myself this was the last time, but a 20-karat diamond with no protection? That was tempting."
