Jimmy Kimmel is coming back to Sinclair's ABC stations

Sinclair Broadcast Group will resume airing "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on its ABC affiliates Friday night, ending a boycott that began more than a week earlier after Kimmel's comments about the right-wing reaction to the Charlie Kirk shooting. The resumption restores the show to viewers in nearly 30 markets, including Washington, D.C., Columbus, Ohio, and St. Louis. Sinclair said its objective was to keep programming accurate and engaging and emphasized responsibilities as local broadcasters and obligations to air national network programming. Sinclair characterized the prior replacement decision as independent of government influence and reported constructive talks with Disney-owned ABC, which has not adopted Sinclair's proposed network-wide independent ombudsman.
