Iran has issued a warning against escalation led by Western powers and possible Israeli attacks focused on their nuclear program. Behrouz Kamalvandi, deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, emphasized Iran's readiness to respond proportionately to any aggression. This remark comes amid the IAEA's meetings in Vienna, where Iran's nuclear compliance is under scrutiny. The situation is heightened by the potential for European powers to censure Iran for its nuclear activities, amidst fears of a significant escalation in confrontations involving Iran and the West.
"We have cooperated beyond our duties, and if the agency does not appreciate that, we will degrade cooperation to its normal levels," Kamalvandi said.
The latest resolution by the IAEA could prove the most serious in two decades and signal a shift toward escalated confrontation with Iran.
