How the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona are Supporting the Guthrie Family
"Life can be scary, and so for us, we want to ensure that we provide a safe space for girls to share their feelings, to be real and honest and raw,"
"It was just so touching to hear the insights of these young ladies. They relate to it. They think of their own mother or their grandmother. They had so much to say, and they wanted Savannah and her family to feel this connection."
"I hope they find their mom,"
Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona are making personalized videos to send hope, prayers and well wishes to Savannah Guthrie and the Guthrie family. Troop leaders spent time talking with Scouts about emotions the girls may feel regarding Nancy Guthrie's disappearance. Nancy Guthrie was last seen Jan. 31 and may have been taken from her home in a possible kidnapping; the investigation has stretched nearly three weeks. Scouts expressed wishes for Nancy's return and for comfort for Savannah. The organization emphasized providing a safe space for girls to share honest feelings and be prepared for the world.
