Gannon apologizes to Demercado for sideline spat
"I woke up this morning and didn't feel great about it, honestly,"
"So in the team meeting I addressed it, I apologized to Emari, apologized to the team. I just told them I let the moment of what happened get the better of me."
"I try to be emotionally stable and calm because my job to solve problems during the game,"
"It's not really who I am, who I want to be, and I told the guys that today. So it's a mistake by me."
Jonathan Gannon apologized to Emari Demercado and the team after an emotional sideline exchange following a costly, unforced fumble. Demercado appeared to have a 72-yard touchdown but dropped the ball before the goal line; the play was ruled a fumble out of the back of the end zone, giving the Titans possession. Video showed Gannon yelling at Demercado and swiping his arm. Gannon said he let the moment get the better of him, called the interaction a mistake, and said he seeks to be more emotionally stable. The Titans rallied to win 22-21, snapping a 10-game losing streak. The Cardinals are 2-3 with three straight losses.
