Former NFL Star Shaun Alexander and Wife Valerie Expecting Baby No. 14
"Former NFL star Shaun Alexander and his wife, Valerie, are adding another player to their team. The Seattle Seahawks' all-time leading rusher announced on the " Up & Adams Show" with host Kay Adams on Sept. 24 that Valerie is pregnant with the couple's 14th child. "We're just now starting to tell people, but No. 14 is in the belly," Alexander said. "We're just now starting to tell everybody.""
"The couple has 10 girls and three boys. Alexander did not share whether No. 14 will be a boy or a girl. The oldest of the boys, Joseph, is a sophomore in high school and plays football for Harvest Covenant, which is a private, faith-based school for grades nine through 12, according to the website. The homeschool co-op in Virginia was founded by Shaun and Valerie, who have homeschooled their 13 children."
"The former NFL Most Valuable Player has already been inducted into the Seahawks' Ring of Honor, but the ultimate honor has remained elusive: the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is currently a nominee for the prestigious honor. Alexander played in the NFL from 2000-08, winning the 2005 NFL MVP. "I want my kids to see the Hall of Fame," he said with a smile about his hopes for being inducted. "Am I asking too much?""
