"Fall River police are looking for a man accused of shooting and killing a dog at a housing development in early February, the department said in a statement. On Feb. 3, police were called to Sunset Hill Housing Development, the Fall River Police Department said. After officers made contact with the caller, police noticed fresh blood on the floor and found a yellow Labrador retriever suffering from a gunshot wound, police said."
"While during an initial investigation, officers identified Simmons as a suspect in the shooting, police said. A follow up investigation by detectives - through security camera footage, interviews, and collected evidence - confirmed Simmons as the suspect in the shooting and other related offenses, Fall River police said. Fall River police did not say why Simmons allegedly shot the dog."
Fall River police are seeking Kyron Simmons, 36, in connection with a shooting that killed a yellow Labrador retriever at Sunset Hill Housing Development on Feb. 3. Officers found fresh blood and the injured dog, which later died at an emergency animal hospital. Simmons faces charges including home invasion, discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building, killing or maiming an animal, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and reckless endangerment of a child. Detectives confirmed Simmons via security footage, interviews, and evidence; a search of his residence recovered firearm accessories and an arrest warrant was issued.
