Sam Horn, a two-sport athlete at the University of Missouri and a former No. 128 MLB Pipeline prospect, dropped to the 17th round and was taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers at pick No. 525. Concerns about his desire to keep playing college football and a prior Tommy John surgery depressed his draft stock. The Dodgers signed Horn for $347,500 from their bonus pool and permitted him to finish the 2025 college football season. Horn started Missouri's opener but suffered a fractured tibia on the first play, underwent successful surgery, and will miss the remainder of the season.
