A doctor, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, charged with providing ketamine to actor Matthew Perry in the lead-up to his overdose, has agreed to plead guilty. Plasencia's plea deal includes four counts of ketamine distribution, with a maximum sentence of 40 years. He had supplied Perry with vials of the drug and admitted to enlisting another doctor to help. Perry, who was 54 and had been using ketamine legally for depression, sought more than prescribed. His death on Oct. 28, 2023, was determined to be caused primarily by ketamine use.
