Colorado is 3-7 midway through the season and will host Arizona State before finishing at Kansas State. Deion Sanders, 58, is 16-19 overall and 9-16 in conference games at Colorado and finalized a five-year, $54 million contract extension through 2029. Sanders underwent bladder removal and reconstruction surgery after a bladder cancer diagnosis this spring. Athletic director Rick George, who hired Sanders, will step down at the end of the academic year. Sanders acknowledged that the coaching staff "did some things that we shouldn't have done" with parts of the roster and asked for more time to fix the situation while asserting confidence in his ability to lead.
