Deion 'dumbfounded' by Buffs' historic Utah loss
"This is bad. This is probably the worst beating I've ever had except when my momma whooped me as a kid,"
"Sometimes you just are dumbfounded, man,"
"You just look at this day and say, 'Wow, what happened?' There's no way."
"He kicked my butt today," Sanders said. "It was 1-on-1 with me and him, and he won by a significant margin."
Colorado suffered a 53-7 loss to Utah, surrendering 422 rushing yards while producing just 140 total yards and averaging 2.1 yards per play. Utah led 43-0 at halftime, the largest halftime shutout lead by a Big 12 opponent in a conference game since 2011. The 46-point defeat represented the biggest margin in the 72-game rivalry history and Colorado's worst loss since the 2023 coaching change. The Buffaloes fell to 3-5 overall and 1-4 in Big 12 play, and must win three of four remaining games to reach bowl eligibility. Deion Sanders' record at Colorado moved to 16-17.
