Declan Perry, 27, of Portland, Maine, was discovered in the backseat of a 2019 black Honda Civic parked in front of South Shore Hospital's emergency room on Saturday afternoon. A hospital employee found him wrapped in multiple blankets secured with duct tape. Weymouth police were contacted around 2:07 p.m., and Perry was pronounced dead at 2:15 p.m. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation. A single bullet hole was reported through the car's front windshield. Neighbors reported seeing a man load a large blanket into the Honda earlier. A search warrant was obtained for a home and items have been seized. Perry and a person of interest were known to one another.
Neighbors who live in a condominium complex along the Driftway in Scituate saw news coverage of the incident and contacted Scituate Police to report that they had seen a man loading a large, heavy blanket into the black Honda civic at their neighbor's residence earlier Saturday,
