During that interview she did not implicate Donald Trump and may be hoping for a presidential pardon. In prison emails she described conditions at Bryan as improved, orderly, safer and more comfortable, praised the warden, and compared the experience to dropping through Alice in Wonderland's looking glass. Epstein died by suicide in jail in 2019. The fallout from the crimes included removal of titles from a British royal and the death of victim Virginia Guiffre.
