Body reportedly found in singer's Tesla identified as missing Calif. teen
"A body found in the front trunk of a Tesla that was abandoned in the Hollywood Hills has been identified as a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for over a year, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's office confirmed to SFGATE on Wednesday. The Tesla is registered to singer singer D4vd, also known as David Anthony Burke, according to multiple news reports."
"Rivas was last seen on April 5, 2024 when she left her home at 9 p.m. wearing gray pants, a black sweater, a hat and Hello Kitty sandals, according to a missing persons poster widely circulated at the time. Rivas' mother confirmed to TMZ that the body found in Burke's car was that of her daughter. Rivas' mother reportedly suspected that it was her daughter after police described a tattoo of the word "Shhh..." on her finger, which matched Celeste's."
A decomposing, hacked-up body was discovered in the front trunk (frunk) of a Tesla after the vehicle was towed from the Hollywood Hills following reports of a foul odor. The victim was identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas of Lake Elsinore, who had been missing since April 5, 2024. The Tesla is registered to singer D4vd, also known as David Anthony Burke. Rivas' mother confirmed the identification after police noted a matching "Shhh..." tattoo on the girl's finger. The LAPD has not released a cause or manner of death and has not identified any suspects. D4vd has not been charged or issued a public statement; a scheduled show was canceled.
