Authorities ID man found dead in 'pool of blood' at Burning Man
"The man was identified Tuesday evening by the Washoe Medical Examiner's Office using fingerprints, the Pershing County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. Kruglov's family was notified of his death, and investigators are still looking for information about a suspect, according to Sheriff Jerry Allen. According to its investigation, the sheriff's office said the homicide occurred "in the area between 8 o'clock and I St. and 845 and I St." in Black Rock City."
"Kruglov's body was discovered at the festival on Saturday night, after a festival attendee flagged down a deputy as the wooden "Man" effigy went up in flames. At the time, deputies said he was found lying in a "pool of blood." Some social media posts have called Kruglov a "true hero of Burning Man" and are raising funds to bring his remains home to the city of Omsk. Kruglov reportedly helped build a camp and created an art installation, according to an Instagram post."
"Another post on Facebook claimed that Kruglov was slain with a bowie knife. However the sheriff's office has not confirmed his cause of death. The killing also comes as several other crimes have been reported from the festival. On Tuesday, a man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and burglary. And on Monday, authorities arrested a convicted felon for allegedly possessing illicit drugs and firearms."
