Two thieves smashed the glass front of a 7-Eleven and stole an ATM using a stolen pickup truck early Sunday morning. Police responded to an alarm and found the abandoned truck with a chain attached to the ATM. The surveillance footage showed the thieves driving through the storefront and forcibly removing the ATM. They fled the scene on foot after taking the ATM's contents. The store was closed at the time of the incident, and plywood covered the damage by Monday.
Two thieves used a stolen pickup truck to smash open the glass front of a 7-Eleven on Telegraph Avenue and rip an ATM out of the shop's floor early Sunday morning.
Police officers went to the shop, at Telegraph and Parker Street, around 3:23 a.m. Sunday after an alarm at the store registered the glass doors breaking.
Surveillance cameras caught the two thieves driving through the storefront, then stretching the chain around the ATM to rip it from its floor bolts.
By Monday there was plywood covering the smashed-in sections of door and window.
