Despite NOAA noting no credible threats at this time, they advised increased vigilance at radar sites and encouraged staff to report suspicious activities to local law enforcement. The group's leader indicated intentions to disrupt government weather operations significantly.
We intend to take as many NexRads offline as possible once our attack simulations have prepared us, said Meyer.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking all regions to notify their field offices and radar technicians to maintain increased vigilance when at or near radar sites.
