At the X Games in Aspen, Hiroto Ogiwara and Miro Tabanelli made history by becoming the first snowboarder and skier to successfully land a 2340-degree rotation. Ogiwara, a 19-year-old from Japan, executed the trick during the Men's Snowboarding Big Air competition, expressing his immense joy in being the first to do so. The following day, 20-year-old Italian skier Tabanelli achieved the same feat in the Men's Ski Big Air event. Both athletes earned gold medals in their disciplines, highlighting a new level of progression in action sports.
I am the first in the world to do that. I've never been as happy as this. It was really the greatest moment. It felt as if I used every ounce of energy I had.
It’s amazing to see the level of trick progression in snowboarding and skiing. Having athletes perform such historic feats is thrilling for the sport.
