A Maine man drove off with $7K on his roof. Police are seeking the man who scooped it up off the road.
"Police in Kennebunk, Maine are looking for a man who, they say, pocketed more than $7,000 in cash that was left in a roadway after falling off the roof of a car. A report of stolen property came in on Oct. 15, the Kennebunk Police Department said on Facebook. "An older male was seen picking up approximately $7,400 in cash that had fallen from the roof of the car of its rightful owner. The money was from the sale of a vehicle," the department said."
"The man, who as wearing a blue shirt and brown pants, afterwards got into a dark gray Honda CR-V and drove westbound on Fletcher Street at around 6:50 p.m., police said. The department shared images apparently from a dash cam showing two men, including the man in the blue shirt and brown pants, standing in a road looking at something on the ground, then picking something up and walking away. The department asked anyone with information to call and Officer David Brown at 207-985-6121."
