A drone delivered her lethal dose of fentanyl in a church parking lot. Now her dealer is going to prison.

Christopher Laney, 37, used an unregistered drone to deliver narcotics, including fentanyl, to a church parking lot in Lancaster. His actions led to the overdose death of a woman in January 2023. Laney pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison. He transported drugs from his home to the parking lot multiple times between December 2022 and January 2023. Authorities found additional narcotics and firearms in his home during a search, including ghost guns without serial numbers.
