"OAKLAND - A 63-year-old bicyclist died Friday night after reportedly running through a stop sign and colliding with two vehicles, according to Oakland Police. Police said the man, reportedly an Oakland resident, rode his electric bike southbound sometime around 6:20 p.m. through a stop sign at E. 16th Street and Miller Avenue before allegedly colliding with a Ford SUV traveling eastbound on E. 16th Street. The man then struck a Honda sedan traveling westbound on E. 16th St., police said."
"The bicyclist was reportedly taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities. Police Saturday had not released the victim's identity, pending notification of the man's next of kin. The Ford and Honda drivers remained on scene to cooperate with investigators, police said. It is unclear the damage sustained to their vehicles. It is unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident. Police ask anyone with information in this investigation to call Oakland traffic investigators at (510) 777-8570."
