The 137th Rose Parade will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday in Pasadena amid a strong winter storm with near-certain rain, potentially the first rainy parade in about two decades. National Weather Service meteorologists forecast a near 100 percent chance of a wet New Years Parade and wet conditions overnight. Tournament of Roses officials say the parade will go on and that they are prepared for rain. The parade theme is "The Magic in Teamwork" and parade marshal is Earvin "Magic" Johnson. For the first time the parade will stream live on TikTok @rose.parade. Attendees are advised to bring ponchos; umbrellas are prohibited.
