Bruce Springsteen's ongoing criticism of Donald Trump has prompted the former president to announce a 'major investigation' into the musician's alleged illegal endorsements for Kamala Harris's campaign. Trump claims that celebrity endorsements from Springsteen and others could be considered unlawful campaign contributions. Despite accusations, reports reveal that these celebrities did not receive payment for appearances, with Harris's campaign spending funds only on necessary support and production services during events. Springsteen's tour has heightened tensions as he continues to critique Trump on stage.
"Candidates aren't allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment," Trump added.
"In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT'S NOT LEGAL!" Trump stated regarding the celebrity endorsements.
Financial records reveal that Harris' campaign spent significantly on events with celebrities, but they appeared without compensation, supporting only staff and production costs.
Springsteen has been a thorn in Trump's side since launching his "Land of Hope and Dreams Tour" last week, delivering on-stage criticism of the former president.
