Taoiseach defends his party's engagement with Michael Lowry as government talks continue

Mr. Harris emphasized the necessity of collaborating with various parties, including the Independent group, to ensure the formation of a stable government that reflects the public's electoral choices.

Harris stated, "There's a lot of people outlining why they don't wish to be in government. I think it's important that we concentrate on those that do..." expressing the urgency of forming a stable government.

In addressing the coalition dynamics, Harris noted, "Deputy Lowry has supported many governments over many years... my priority now is in getting as much of the Fine Gael manifesto implemented as possible."

Addressing potential concerns, Harris remarked, "You have to remember the public voted for Deputy Lowry in very large numbers in Tipperary," highlighting the democratic choice of constituents.
