Military and overseas voters at center of challenges in Riggs-Griffin NC Supreme Court race
Briefly

The North Carolina Supreme Court Race remains unresolved since the 2024 elections, with Democrat Allison Riggs confirmed as the winner by just 734 votes. Despite multiple recounts, Republican Jefferson Griffin continues to contest the results, focusing now on military and overseas voters. Riggs emphasizes the importance of counting every eligible vote, while ongoing ads challenge Griffin's tactics regarding military voters exempt from ID laws. Notably, former GOP Governor Pat McCrory voiced support for accountability in election outcomes, recognizing the significance of the election process for those serving in the military.
From my perspective, it doesn't matter if it's one voter, 6,000 voters, or 68,000 voters; every vote cast by an eligible voter should be counted, and I will not give one inch.
It's of utmost importance that as we move forward. That we make it as easy as possible for our servicemembers who are serving overseas to have their voices heard and participate in the election process that they are wearing the uniform to defend.
