Mayor Eric Adams has been avoiding mentioning Kamala Harris' name, stating he is following legal advice to not appear as though he is electioneering for her while performing his duties.
Despite endorsing Harris in the summer, Adams has not actively campaigned for her and has made choices that suggest he may be trying to court support from Republicans.
