Kamala Harris soundly defeated Donald Trump in the Sacramento region and across California, but Trump's share of the vote grew significantly, particularly among Latino, Black and Asian residents.
In the Sacramento region, Harris won 54.2% of the vote, down from 57.1% in 2020, while Trump increased his share to 42.4%, up from 40.4%.
Trump's strongest support came from Placer and El Dorado counties, where his improvements were particularly evident in ZIP codes with high Latino populations.
Despite Harris's win, overall turnout fell significantly, dropping from 82.8% in 2020 to 76.4% in 2024, leading to fewer total votes for both candidates.
