He expressed a desire for the UK to negotiate effectively on cross-border crime, noting, 'I don't think we did as well as we should have... and that's why we want to improve on it.'
Discussing collaboration with the EU, Starmer mentioned, 'There is an appetite to work more closely with us on this. Because, look, these are shared challenges.'
Starmer called for access to Eurodac, affirming, 'They [EU leaders] also do value what the UK has to offer... we've very good intelligence, very good capability.'
