"Earlier this month, the British politician sometimes known as the "Prince of Darkness" swore up and down to the BBC that while he maintained a friendship with Epstein for years, he was "kept separate" from some of the trafficker's more dastardly doings. That may well be the case, but in the new documents, there's a paper trail showing us that money changed hands between Epstein and Mandelson's husband, Reinaldo Avila da Silva."
"The course, however, interfered with his ability to bring in funds. "Some months ago, I had to start asking money for Peter again for my own expenses which really is not easy for me!" da Silva wrote. Epstein instantly complied, sending additional funds. Further communication between Epstein and Mandelson includes jokes about da Silva having to be put "out to work on the streets." A separate email exchange even shows the men joking about a tax evasion effort involving a shell operation in Panama."
Final Epstein file releases reveal a documented financial link between Jeffrey Epstein and Reinaldo Avila da Silva, husband of Lord Peter Mandelson. Records show Epstein wired £10,000 in 2009 to support da Silva's osteopathy course and provided further loans in 2010 after da Silva reported reduced income and requested money for personal expenses. Email exchanges record da Silva admitting he asked Peter for funds and show Epstein and Mandelson joking about putting da Silva "out to work on the streets" and about a Panama shell operation for tax evasion. Mandelson denies knowledge of illegal activity and disputes fund exchanges.
