Lord Matthew Doyle apologised for his past association with councillor Sean Morton and said he will not take the Labour whip. Doyle campaigned for Morton when Morton ran as an Independent in May 2017. Morton admitted having indecent images of children later that year. Doyle was made a life peer last month.
