Independent Senator Frances Black expressed openness to potential presidential candidacy discussions while clarifying that she is not actively pursuing the position. Speaking on RTÉ's The Late Late Show, Black noted that people had approached her about her interest but emphasized that decisions have yet to be made. She further highlighted her dedication to social issues, particularly her commitment to Palestinian rights, citing her motivations for the Occupied Territories Bill following a poignant visit to Gaza.
I said 'I am open to the conversation'. But there probably will be other people (who) will be actively seeking this as well.
This Bill is important to the Palestinian people, it's a tiny little step for the Israeli government to have consequences to what they're doing.
